Fixated On...The Radio

In which Fixated On... makes it's radio debut!  This show was originally broadcast on LeedsIndieRadio.net on Wednesday 30th November.  This is that show, where Steve Shooter is joined by Stand up comedian Simon D. Heaven for a look at some news stories.  This is Simon:

It does not feature the music we played. It does feature background noise, we were in the pub!

Fixated On...the radio?

Big news people!! Fixated On, are spreading our wings a little bit.  We were not content with ruling the podcast roost, so we have joined forces with LeedsIndieRadio to broadcast our show. 
The new format of the show will not be a million miles away from how it has been.  It will still feature Steve Shooter with a different guest host every week, only this time there will be the best of unsigned bands in the Yorkshire area playing too. 
Guests currently scheduled for the show include Simon D. Heaven, Laura Reynolds, Julia Mann and the boys from Zomblogalypse, Miles & Tony.  There will be many other guests joining me over the coming weeks too.

Fixated On...Simon D. Heaven

Guest host this week is friend of the show Simon D. Heaven.  I first met Simon when he very kindly, along with other members of 'Can't Sing, Can't Dance, Don't Care', volunteered to perform at 'Stand Up For Heroes', a charity show I organised earlier in the year.  We met up on a sunny Wednesday to have a chat and introduce the world to brand of comedy.
We talked about Simon's stand up comedy, youtube videos with his son, bloody pigeons and a whole host of other subjects.  Why not go check out his website and join in the hilarity?

Fixated On...Tracy Tidswell

In which Steve is joined by the Coconut Woman, Tracy Tidswell.  Although this is the 5th episode released it was actually the 1st one recorded, and one of the most fun.  I only knew Tracy from Twitter and so meeting was a little odd but I greatly enjoyed having her as a guest to help me shape the show, in it's infancy!

We talked about Tracy's flourishing writing career as a writer of rudery! We also covered all kinds of other nonsense, including how much I want to punch Bono in the face...

Fixated On...Miles Watts

In episode 4 of the show, Steve is joined by York film-maker Miles Watts for a chat.  Miles is another multi-hyphenate, writer, director, actor type.  He has made a couple of feature films based almost entirely in and around York, as well as being at the forefront of the Web-series movement, with Zomblogalypse.

Fixated On...Julia Mann

This weeks guest is the most lovely Julia Mann.  As described by herself on the episode, Julia is a writer, a mother, and all sorts of other stuff! I met Julia through the medium of Twitter, much like many of the hosts who will appear on the show.  Her tweets are a delight for me, always cheer me up and it was a great pleasure to have her be a guest on my little show.  The audio quality is a lot better than the first episode, I think due to the difference in time zones.  We talked about how relevant the Royal Family are on both sides of the pond, and loads of other things.
